Otter's Web Site

Julie at Red State Rebels notes that Otter has spiffed up his website. He has, but I still take issue with some of the content.

First off Otter says
Served honorably in the Idaho Army National Guard’s 116th Armored Cavalry
Did ya now? I wrote a while back that his Guard service looks like an effort to avoid the draft. He joined the year after he completed college. Otter certainly didn't stick with the Guard very long. How many of the 6 years did he actively drill? Was he like Bush who was carried on the rolls but didn't attend? I have no idea, but again, I'd like to see his service records.

Otter responds to a May 3 editorial by Jim Fisher, writing
He [Jim] has yet to grasp the economic truth that every penny of taxes shifted to businesses and employers winds up being paid by the consumers of those products and the employees who make them.
Really? Every penny? Is Otter saying, or does he believe, that the businesses maintain their profit and dividends and pass along all costs? Doesn't a global market make it a bit tough to just raise prices every time a new expense is incurred?

His web site does look good, and the pix of him standing a wheat field, or holding a shotgun, really work.

Finally, Otter says "Butch Otter Stands Up", I guess so we can stand down.
