In every armory across the nation, in every orderly room and day room and chow hall, in every headquarters, hangs a picture of the Commander in Chief. In a couple of months, a picture of Barak Obama will replace that of George Bush. Sweet.
Next, best wishes, God speed and heartfelt support to Bubblehead, who's been
diagnosed with stomach cancer. With his characteristic humor, he
ironically wishes for the worst treatment method, and says he'll try to keep his posts entertaining. In that spirit, I recall the grocery list of stuff he took to his Seattle trip for a video game convention, and I can see why his stomach has rebelled. Good luck, BH.
Last, that thing is new to me.
Update: I misread his post, and fixed that screw up. And to BH, if I can help out somehow, please don't hesitate to let me know.

It's sad about Bubblehead indeed.
Congrads on your promotion, that's pretty awesome.
I've been talking with some people that I was in the service with who are still in, one, who was my first NCO when he was a Corporal just pinned on his E-7. It's hard to think about where I'd be at right about now, which could be right about E-7.
I've always said that the only thing I wanted about getting out was not regretting it -- I'm not sure on where I stand on that now.
Again, congrads Alan.
Congratulations, Colonel. And thanks for the good wishes.
Congrates, but can I still give you the bird, sir?
Congratulations, indeed, to one of the several commanders who have had to endure commanding me. Well deserved- the promotion, that is. And well done, your service. Flag rank! Have you demanded your placards and driver yet?
Congratulations, Alan - and thanks for your service to our country.
