'Elected officials have an obligation to be open and honest with those who have elected them. Sen. Craig has unfortunately violated the trust he held with Idahoans. There is no doubt that our US Senator served Idaho well for many years. In many ways he was a wonderful advocate for the people of Idaho. It is very sad that all of his hard work and accomplishments will now be tainted. As the Senator openly admitted he has put a 'dark cloud over Idaho'.
I have been asked what I think Sen. Craig should do. My response is very simple. Sen. Craig should do what he was elected to do. That is, he should do what is best for Idaho. Just as he admitted that he would be a distraction for Mitt Romney and resigned from the campaign, the same may be true for his work representing Idahoans.''

I wouldn't rush to judgement on the "spoof/draft" nature based just on that. Yes, Covad is in California, but their a DSL wholesaler -- a lot of retail DSL providers (small/rural ISPs, companies looking for a national presence, etc.) resell their services in some or all of their service areas; that account/IP could belong to *anyone* on Covad's network whose provider buys their services through LA -- that's just one way DSL can work. As an aside, mine looks like it comes from an address in Seattle; I get Seattle-themed geography-specific ads all the time when browsing.

In addition, I know folks who work with Brandi Swindell on a regular basis. She ain't running. She's too busy helping young women in crisis pregnancy situations to get involved in a US Senate run.
Even if she were to run, you may not think much of her, but she's not stupid enough to personally come begging for money in the comments of small blogs.
I'm with Cable One. I just ran my IP through http://visualiptrace.visualware.com/ and was told I'm in Phoenix (I'm in Twin Falls, actually). Doesn't prove anything. Doesn't disprove anything, either.
I'm with Qwest and my IP comes up as Cableone, though it does usually show Boise.
