Breast Cancer Not Linked to Abortion

The New York Times reports, along with many other newspapers and news sources, that a new study found no link between breast cancer and abortion.
There is no association between abortion and an increased risk for breast cancer, scientists reported yesterday in a large study.
We'll see if Bill Sali persists in his position that the two are linked.

I think it's so strange that Christian fundamentalists are so hell-bent on the idea that any deviation from their vision of female reproductive behavior will result in disease or disfigurement. Don't vaccinate against HPV, because anyone who might be in a position to contract it deserves cancer. Push a link between breast cancer and abortion because people who have abortions are so bad that God gives them cancer. Why should God be impressed by people who keep it in their pants because they're afraid of physical pain? Wouldn't He be able to see through that?

I think if he wanted people not to get abortions, he'd just do away with either abortions or peoplem. If he's all powerful and all knowing, he could do that. I don't see an omniscient diety setting up silly hoops for people to jump through. If he wanted us to act a certain way, he'd set us up that way.
