Vacancy Rates

Randy Stapilus wrote here on Friday the 17th that of 105 seats, Idaho Rs have a candidate in 93, and Dems have a candidate in only 69.

The Constitutional Party filed for US Representative in both districts, for Gov and Lt Gov, for Legislative District 4 Senator, for Senator and House seat B in Dist 11, and for both Rep seats in Dist 17. 9 filings.

Libertarians filed for US Representative in district 1, Gov, House seat B in Dist 4, Sen and House seat A in Dist 13, House B in Dist 15, seat A in Dist 18, and seats A and B in Dist 20. 9 filings.

The Independant Party (is that an oxymoron?) filed for US Representative in both districts and for Legislative District 4 Senator. 3 filings.

The Natural Law Party filed for US Representative in district 1 and House seat B in Dist 30. 2 filings.

In a couple of places, these other parties are contesting seats where no Dem is running.

BTW, if anyone can point me to a explanation of how I can link to a place on a page instead of just to the top of the page, I'd appreciate it.

Alan,

I just figured out how to post pictures so I am absolutely no help to you on linking to a specific section of a page or article, sorry.

Are you wanting to link to a specific part of an article, or the article itself instead of the main page of the blog or site?

Did that make any sense whatsoever?
