I've wondered what accounted for Rep Katherine Harris's popularity in Florida. Sure, part of it was helping steal the Florida vote and give it to Bush.
I think this picture in the New York Times, especially if you enlarge it, might provide a couple of clues.

Ummm, I don't think I needed to enlarge the picture ... it was only TOO obvious! Any bets if she's displaying her natural gifts from God... or if she had a little help?
Good point. It hadn't occurred to me that she might have sculpted her image a bit.
